CENTER ACTIVITIES

HUD Commits for $196,000

Stuart Buchanan, left Financial Chairman of the Mecklenburg County Community Services Corp. (MCCSC), Fifth District Rep. Virgil Goode and Joe Davidson, MCCSC President, display a letter from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) committing $196,000 to the construction of the Lake Cpountry Education and Enrichment Center in Clarksville. The HUD letters state that the award is contingent o n the Mecklenburg County Community Services Corp receiving a USDA loan for the project, which carries a fundraising goal o f $1.1 million. The site for the Lake Country Education and Enrichment Center is located onj Noblin Faarm Road, across from the Lake Country Industrial Park.
